I appreciate that the bluebells are now ‘long gone’ for this year but after being given access to the photos of the corral construction I just had to post them in a gallery for you all to enjoy.
Just out of interest the Thursday group built a similar fence on a much smaller scale to the one at Dockey Wood by the visitors centre many months ago. As time has passed the fence could now do with some ‘love and care’ as visiting children have been in the habit of pulling wood out of the fence and throwing it into the pond which was also constructed by volunteers.
To think that this was built in a single day – remarkable.
Not only does a dead hedge look the part, but it is great for wildlife.
